A closer look at the MIIT certification website shows that the Xiaomi Foldable Smartphone is called Mix Flip, and the listing shows that it has satellite connectivity, etc. However, key specifications of the device have already been leaked.
According to rumours, Xiaomi will launch the Mix Flip handset with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC chipset. This SoC is built using TSMC’s 4nm process and may also include a Cortex-X3 core clocked at 3.2 GHz. This Xiaomi device may also have a triple rear camera setup with telephoto sensors and 3X optical Zoom. The company has not made any disclosure about its remaining features.
Through satellite connectivity, the user’s phone is directly connected to the satellite rather than the mobile tower. Next, he can call on any mobile or telephone, whether a network or not on his phone. This method is adopted by Xiaomi for its upcoming flagship flip device.
