Redmi is working on a gaming tablet that may be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 series

A new Redmi tablet powered by a Snapdragon 8 series chipset is expected to launch soon. This reflects Xiaomi’s plans to bring high-end performance to its popular budget-friendly tablet lineup. This upcoming tablet is likely to feature Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 series chipset, which could give it significantly better performance than its predecessors.

However, a new post from Weibo has revealed that the brand is working on a gaming-focused tablet. Redmi will be released in 2025 with a compact design and LCD screen. DCS has also discussed this upcoming tablet, and they have claimed that the Redmi device will prioritize gaming and will feature a Snapdragon 8 series chipset

This chipset is known for its top-tier CPU and GPU, which will allow for faster processing speeds. This tablet will become ideal for demanding tasks like gaming, content creation, and video editing. The powerful Adreno GPU in the Snapdragon 8 series will deliver better graphics performance, leading to better visuals for gameplay and media consumption.

The Snapdragon 8 series chipsets are equipped with advanced AI engines that can enhance the tablet’s capabilities, such as voice recognition, image processing, and system optimization. The Redmi tablet will likely support a high-resolution display of up to 2K or 4K as well as a 120 Hz high refresh rate.

On the other hand, Xiaomi may also unveil the Pad 7 series soon, which may include two models, Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro. Some reports say these devices may use Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets. This could challenge other premium tablets from brands like Samsung and Apple, especially in regions where Redmi products are known for their affordable price and value for money.
