A couple of days ago, Xiaomi introduced a new smartphone in India, the Redmi 13C, which is another addition to its Redmi series. The brand has released the smartphone in both 4G as well as 5G variants. However, now reports are coming out that the brand will go for its rebranded version.
According to an anonymous report shared by a Xiaomi tipster on X, the newly launched Redmi 13C 5G will be rebranded and might launch under the POCO brand with a different name. Tipster Kacper Skrzypek shared a screenshot on X, which revealed the smartphone might launch under the POCO brand as POCO M6 5G.
Although the screenshot appears to be an MIUI code of the handset, which is arriving with a model number 23128PC33I, the “I” within the model number denotes that the device is an Indian variant. It’s going to launch in India, and with that, the brand has codenamed it, “air_p”.
At the same time, like POCO M6 Pro 5G, which was launched a couple of months ago, is the only device to feature 5G support within the POCO M series, it’s highly expected that the upcoming and rumored POCO M6 will also be incorporated with 5G capabilities.
However, the detailed specifications of the smartphone are yet to be released. Nevertheless, the tipster on X claims that the device will be a rebranded version of the Redmi 13C 5G, providing slight hints to several enthusiasts on what they can expect from the upcoming device.
Furthermore, the Redmi 13C 5G comes with a 6.74-inch IPS LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate, a new MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset, and massive storage. The smartphone runs on MIUI 14, which is based on Android 13. Now, coming to its camera capabilities, the Redmi 13C 5G smartphone sports a 50MP AI camera with classic Film filters along with a 5MP selfie snapper. It is packed with a 5000mAh battery pack with 18W charging support, although Xiaomi has provided a 10W charger.
