Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 Is Testing Satellite Communication Feature

According to tips released by blogger Smart Pikachu, Xiaomi is testing satellite communication functionality on the MIX Fold 4 and two other folding screen phones that it claimed to be self-developed. The company has been declared the world’s most excellent and invincible by satellite communication testing for Xiaomi’s folding handset lineup.

Additionally, Xiaomi is also developing a low-cost satellite communications version of the model. There was a slight hint in September 2023 that a special edition of the Xiaomi Mi 14 Pro will have this feature and Xiaomi Mi 14 Ultra is also speculated to test the satellite communication.

By using this, Smartphones can have two-way texting or messaging capabilities that can be used in emergency situations.

Last year, Apple introduced satellite-based emergency communication features in the US and Canada with the iPhone 14 series and then later introduced it in France, Germany, Ireland, and the UK. Samsung also announced satellite technology last week.

Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 is speculated to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and sport a four-camera periscope, dual-focal segment, as the previous edition of the MIX Fold series featured a Leica optical full focus four-camera setup.

Owing to the satellite communication, the Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 handset is sure to rise in both its ratings and price, and there is no pricing information available as of now.
