Method 1: Using Settings
The first way to change language from Chinese to English on your Xiaomi smartphone running HyperOS is by navigating the Settings app on your phone. Here’s how to:
- Enter the Settings app on your Xiaomi smartphone.
- Scroll down and then tap on the Additional Settings tab.
- Select the System section.
- Then tap on the Language & Input option.
- Now select languages.
- Here you will find a list of all the available languages.
- Then tap on the Add Language option.
- Scroll down to find the English language. Here, you can choose the English of the United States if you prefer to use American English.
- Then tap on the English option in order to add it to your list of languages.
- Other than that, if you wish to make the English language your primary language, then tap on the three dots placed next to the English option and then choose the Move to Top option.
Method 2: Using Quick Settings
Another method is to switch to the English language by using the Quick Settings. Follow the steps given below:
- First off, swipe down from the top of your screen in order to open the quick settings panel.
- Press the Language & Region tile.
- Here you will get a list of all your preferred languages.
- Then tap on the English icon and drag it to the top of the list.
