Xiaomi India President Muralikrishnan B said in a media interview on Wednesday that the Xiaomi company, which is looking to recover in the Indian market from 2023, will need to play end-to-end premiumization, offer integrated handset with Artificial Intelligence of Things and Omnichannel relying on things like strategy etc.
Muralikrishnan also said,” We made a sharp comeback in 2022, but 2023 has been a year of recovery for us. And we can only grow stronger from here,” the company has great plans for the next three years, and we want to become the most preferred and leading smartphone X ALoT brands for aspirational Indians.”
Smartphone X ALoT means connecting various devices such as audio-visual products, home appliances such as smart televisions, tablets, water purifiers, air purifiers, robot vacuum cleaners, smartwatches, cameras, as well as electric vehicles through running Xiaomi Hyper OS software.
The company wants to improve the quality of services across its value chain and will also make some changes in design, operating system, packing improvements, and technology for customer support to further improve the user experience.
Due to the growth in 5G handsets, the company was able to narrow the gap with top competitor Samsung by the July and September quarter of 2023. According to Canalys, Xiaomi shipped 7.6 million handsets during the quarter, and the market share stood at 18%. In the diwali season, total 5G smartphones grew by more than 200 % year on year. Our smart television shipment grew by 3.6 X during Diwali also. The most selling phone items are Redmi 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 5G, and Xiaomi Pad 6 variants.
On his plans to regain the top spot, Muralikrishnan said,” I am not saying that I do not want to be number one. But the focus has changed, we want customers to trust and like us. And number one, it could have an outcome metric and we’d be happy to take that. Recently Xaiomi has tied up with Dixon Technologies to manufacture its smartphones in India.
In the end Xiaomi’s Indian president hints that the China tech giant company is expanding its product to cover the Indian market to purchase electronic items of Xiaomi. Do not say to wrong that China set to mark and trying no 1 leading mobile company in India as it was before.
